OpenFlow® 1.3 Gateway Switch to be Showcased at Event
SAN JOSE, Calif., October 23, 2013
WHAT: The Open Networking Foundation (ONF) Executive Director, Dan Pitt will participate in an expert panel at the TM Forum Digital Disruption. The panel, “The Impact of Software-Defined Networks (SDNs) on Agile Operators,” is part of the Agile Business and IT Forum at the event. It will discuss SDN and agile operations issues including changes to operation processes, cost structure and network management, ramifications and impacts, and assessment of challenges.
WHO: The panel will be moderated by Tony Sceales, vice president digital and communications products at SunTec Business Solutions. Dan Pitt, will be joined by the following panelists:
- Guido Appenzeller, founder, Big Switch
- Muhammad Salman Sami, senior manager, technical issue, ZTE Corporation
- James Urquhart, director of product, Cloud Management Systems
ONF member company, Netronome will also be demonstrating its OpenFlow® 1.3 Gateway Switch. The gateway connects a multi-tenant data center to an MPLS WAN, therefore creating a second remote data center.
WHEN: The TM Forum Digital Disruption will take place October 28 – 31, 2013. “The Impact of Software-Defined Networks (SDNs) on Agile Operators” panel will take place on October 30, 2013 at 3:40 p.m. PT.
The demonstration of OpenFlow® 1.3 Gateway Switch will be held during the following times: October 28 from 12 – 5:30 p.m. PT; October 29 from 12 – 7 p.m. PT; October 30 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. PT; and October 31 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PT.
