The Extensibility working group is developing extensions to the OpenFlow® switch protocol that best take advantage of the latest innovations to promote OpenFlow® Standard adoption.
Achievements
- Consolidated existing protocol versions, releasing versions 1.0.1 and 1.3.1 that clarify and fix respectively 1.0 and 1.3.0, and were approved by the board
- Released a roadmap for OpenFlow® 1.x to describe process for enhancing the OpenFlow® switch specification.
- Released OpenFlow® 1.3.2, 1.3.3 and 1.4.0 switch specification
- Released OpenFlow® extensions for 1.3.x package
Goals for 2014
- Release OpenFlow® 1.3.4
- Release OpenFlow® 1.5 and ONF Extensions
- Revisit and update charter
